Hull & structure
Hull, deck, superstructure, through-hulls, visible stringers and bulkheads, and signs of moisture or prior repair.
Pre-purchase surveys
A methodical, independent inspection for buyers who need to understand the vessel—not just complete a transaction.
Request availabilitySurvey scope
The pre-purchase survey is the most comprehensive inspection offered. Scope is confirmed in advance based on vessel type, access, location, and your purchase timeline.
Hull, deck, superstructure, through-hulls, visible stringers and bulkheads, and signs of moisture or prior repair.
Engines, generators, fuel, electrical, plumbing, steering, controls, and installed safety systems within accessible limits.
Underbody, running gear, propellers, rudders, transducers, coatings, and accessible below-waterline components.
Observed operation of propulsion, controls, steering, navigation equipment, and onboard systems under practical conditions.
Equipment and installations reviewed against applicable standards and accepted marine practice.
General condition, material deficiencies, and context that can inform negotiation, ownership planning, and next steps.
A marine survey is a visual and operational assessment of accessible areas on the survey date. It is not a warranty, guarantee, destructive test, or engine mechanical survey. Oil analysis, specialized diagnostics, rig inspection, and yard charges can be coordinated separately when appropriate.

Findings organized by significance so safety, near-term needs, and routine items are easy to distinguish.
A phone conversation with Dana to review major findings and answer questions in plain language.
An opinion of fair market and replacement value based on condition, equipment, and available market data.
Questions, answered
You are welcome to attend, but it is not required. Out-of-state buyers are routinely supported through direct calls, photographs, and a detailed report. When present, buyers are usually invited to join near the end for a focused walkthrough.
The decision remains yours. The survey provides an independent record of condition and material findings so you, your broker, and other advisors can evaluate the purchase with better information.
